Solacity’s 5% Shipping Allowance

We know you love free shipping, but we are not Amazon and you do not have a “Prime” subscription with us.
So how can we make shipping a little cheaper for you, and more equitable for those that do not live in easy-to-reach places?

What we came up with is an allowance based on the total of your order before tax (for retail orders only!) that can be used towards the (actual) cost of shipping. It does not matter where you live or where we ship, Ontario, Nunavut, or the Territories, we will move up to 5% of our profit towards the cost of shipping the goods to you. In short, the more you buy, the higher your shipping allowance. This goes for all forms of shipping; courier shipments such as Purolator and Fedex, Canada Post, as well as truck-freight.

This shipping allowance could mean your order ships completely for free! Or there could still be some shipping expense left. Either way, it will cost less to ship!

Note that this is NOT a credit. There is no refund of the ‘left-over’ of the shipping allowance. You cannot ‘bank’ this for other orders, neither future nor retroactive. We in fact very much hope that overall our actual loss of funding part of your shipping expense will cost us less than 5% in profit. If you are local we appreciate it if you come to pick up. Likewise, bundling orders into one rather than many smaller shipments helps us too. Your help in keeping our cost down is very much appreciated! The renewable energy business is not a get-rich-quick scheme, our margins are slim as they are, and every percent counts to keep the lights on. We know shipping has become very pricey, and we do want to help alleviate some of this expense. This is what we came up with.

Note that this is for retail sales ONLY. Dealer pricing does NOT qualify for a shipping allowance. Sorry, but margins on dealer pricing simply do not allow for it.
