C4P VoltRay C4P6.1SRVR

The C4P VoltRay line of refrigerators were especially designed to run directly from 12 and 24 Volt DC. The C4P fridges and freezers use an in-house designed high-efficiency DC compressor, built for reliability. All C4P fridges are auto-sensing for 12 or 24 Volt.

The VoltRay C4P6.1SRVR has a 4.5 cu. ft. refrigerator, and a 1.6 cu. ft. freezer compartment. While running, the unit has a power use of just 70 – 100 Watt and with an ambient temperature of 21C the energy use is only 0.6 kWh per day. A single 250 – 300 Watt panel is sufficient to provide this amount of energy per average day from spring through fall in our (southern Ontario) climate, for winter it would require two panels.

Low energy consumption is the key that allows C4P refrigerators and freezers to be cost effectively powered from solar, wind, fuel cells or batteries. This technology allows refrigeration in remote locations where it was previously unavailable or prohibitively expensive. The C4P fridges form a superb and cost-effective alternative to propane fridges.
