Victron Orion XS 1400

The Victron Orion XS 1400 continues what the XS started, but more: This is a DC-to-DC charger (or Voltage source) that can charge 12V or 24V battery banks, convert from 12V to 24V, or from 24V to 12V, from lithium to lead-acid and vice-versa. It is a buck-boost charger, meaning it will increase or decrease the output Voltage above or below the input Voltage as needed. An XS 1400 can be used to separate the starter battery from the house battery.

An unlimited number of Orion XS 1400 units can be connected in parallel to increase the overall charge current capacity. Each Orion XS is capable of 50 Amp into the house battery bank. This device has build-in “engine running” detection, and is smart-alternator compatible. This guarantees the charger only draws power when the engine is running.

Lithium-ion batteries can draw a lot of current! The Victron Orion XS makes it safe to charge them from your engine’s alternator without overloading it. Great for use in RVs and marine applications!
